Detects common strings of text characters

Plagiarism3D can compare 100s or 1000s of papers, finding multiple pieces of text shared by pairs of documents (.doc, .docx, .txt, .PDF).

The program counts the number and length of the text strings, providing a total score. In the results, pairs of documents can be sorted by each of these values. Like golf, a high score is bad.

If needed, the software can work 100% local, preventing any information leaving the user's computer. Alternatively, a server can be set up on a campus server, in which case student papers are restricted to the local network. Transmission of documents uses secure protocols.

The bottom line is:

Detection is fast and under the full control of the instructor.
